Description: Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships for the organisation (specifically for the television programme).

Build relationship with Employment Clinic’s client and converting relationships to real business while simultaneously helping the client gain exposure with increasing profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees and directs short, medium and long range forecasting on organizational activities. (Employment Show)
  • Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the programme, organization’s policies and operations.
  • Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution, and determines their financial impact.
  • Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities.
  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities. Responsible for communicating in and out of the organization. Emails, proposal & letter writing, BB messages, facebook, twitter etc.
  • To research about organizations with interest in our services and reach out to them.
  • To communicate with them through letters, phone calls and face to face meetings when necessary.
  • Develop strategies for marketing the show and get clients to pay for services rendered.
  • To uncover the needs of the clients, how Employment Clinic  can solve them and bring in guests to the show.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners’ needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities.
  • Work with all EMPLOYMENT CLINIC’S stakeholders, and closely with the Executive Director
  • Carry out other tasks as directed by the Chief Executive.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work independently towards agreed broad goals and specific targets
  • A minimum of the equivalent of a degree from any tertiary institution. A Masters Degree would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and social media skills.
  • At least 2 years of business development experience. Must be driven and ambitious
  • Must be a creative thinker with the ability to achieve results without supervision.
  • Must be prepared to work long hours to meet company needs.
  • Applicants should have a collaborative attitude, be responsible, enterprising, highly inquisitive and able to manage self.
  • Willing to travel as occasion demands, prepare reports and lead at all times.
  • Good command of the English Language with excellent writing and communication skills.
  • A convivial personality with the ability to think on the feet.
  • Problem Solving, Analytical and Energetic
  • Highly skilled in the use of Computer and applications.
